Joint Book Launch for Collaborative Creation of Poetry, Images, and AI and Painting Love: A Poetry and Image Collection

Collaborative Creation of Poetry, Images, and AI and Painting Love: A Poetry and Image Collection present new possibilities emerging from the intersection of literature, technology, and visual art through human–AI collaboration and interdisciplinary experimentation.
Co-organized by the National Central University Center for Humanities and Arts, China Times Publishing Company, and the Taiwan Poetry Society’s “Online Poetry Fragrance” website, the Joint Book Launch for Collaborative Creation of Poetry, Images, and AI and Painting Love: A Poetry and Image Collection will be held on June 19, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at the second floor of the new building of Kishu An Forest of Literature. The event will be hosted by Lee Jui-Teng, with Meng Fan and Su Mu-Chun serving as guest discussants. Writers Bai Ling and Kuo Chih-Ching will also engage in a dialogue exploring new possibilities for literature and imagery in the age of AI, from the perspectives of creativity, technology, aesthetics, and interdisciplinary practice.
In recent years, the rapid development of artificial intelligence has not only transformed the ways images and designs are created, but has also gradually entered the fields of literary writing and artistic practice. As text becomes more than simply a medium for reading and begins to interact with algorithmically generated imagery, the boundaries between “poetry” and “image” are also undergoing new transformations. The publication of Collaborative Creation of Poetry, Images, and AI (Taoyuan: National Central University, January 2026) and Painting Love: A Poetry and Image Collection (Taipei: China Times Publishing, April 2026) represents a concrete outcome of this wave of interdisciplinary creative experimentation.
Painting Love: A Poetry and Image Collection combines poetry with AI-generated imagery, presenting new forms of interaction among language, emotion, and visual expression, while revealing an artistic style that is both surreal and playful. Collaborative Creation of Poetry, Images, and AI, meanwhile, originated from the 2024 “AI Poetry-Image Co-Creation” exhibition and forum, which showcased fifty-one works and brought together scholars from literature, art, education, and technology for dialogues and interviews on literary creation and human–AI collaboration in the AI era.
Beyond sharing the creative and publishing process, this joint book launch also hopes to encourage readers to recognize that the relationship between AI and literature is not merely a technical issue, but an important topic involving perception, aesthetics, and the future development of culture. Those interested in modern poetry and the evolving relationship between poetry and visual art are warmly invited to attend.
