In 2023, Ms.Nian-Bihua, who was honored with the National Craft Award, became the first female artisan to receive such recognition. In addition to her exquisite craftsmanship, Ms.Nian also amassed a collection of exceptionally fine embroidered artworks. This Joint exhibition presents the Kunqu Opera Museum's collection of scripts alongside Ms.Nian-Bihua's treasured embroidered pieces. It narrates how "embroidery" was utilized within the tales of Ming-Qing legends, as well as the cultural contexts behind them.
